Public transport in Ostrava is part of an integrated transport system ODIS.
The fares of the Dopravní podnik Ostrava a.s. (Ostrava Transport, joint-stock co.) are a combination of zone- and time-based rates, and transfers are possible. Zone limitations apply to long-term time tickets; time limitations apply to short-term tickets within the TOWN tariff area (zones 1, 2, 3 and 4) and the XXL tariff area (zones 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25).

• long-term (7 to 365 days) prepaid

Ticket use
Please validate your ticket using the electronic, machines located at each door immediately after boarding the public transport vehicle! The invalidated ticket is good for the period corresponding to the ticket type and price. Please report any errors in ticket invalidation to the driver.

Ticket inspection
Passengers are obliged to produce a valid travel document (ticket, season ticket) to authorized ticket inspection personnel. Passengers failing to do so shall be obliged to pay the respective fare and a surcharge of up to 1.000 CZK. The invalidated ticket is good for the period corresponding to the ticket type and price. Please report any errors in ticket invalidation to the driver.

Between 8 pm and 4 am, please board buses and trolley buses using only the front doors. Immediately after boarding, invalidate your ticket or show the driver your season ticket.

A passenger may board the vehicle with a maximum of 3 pieces of luggage. If the luggage exceeds any one of the limiting dimensions 30 x 40 x 60 cm and is not on the list of banned articles or is not subject to free transport, a fare must be paid for such luggage too.
